The Cogmans Trail Run.
Arguably the Western Cape’s best-kept secret is the Montagu Trails Network. Technical trail with towering ascents and fast downs makes this winter race yours. We take you around the Montagu bowl surrounding the town summiting the Aasvoëlkrans Peak, Cogmans Peak, and then the beastly Bloupunt Peak at 1266m. Registration is on Friday night, where we host a vibey evening with a karoo chill in the air, a warm burger and a good golden ale!

The Cogmans 10km
Designed for the upcoming trail runner. This 10km route takes you through the town to the top of Aasvoëlkrans to view the town from above. A healthy combination of tar, single track and climbing, this trail will leave you wanting to explore more…

The Cogmans 17km
Designed for the trail runner looking for short sharp and impactful run. Don’t misjudge this run in thinking it is easy. The climbs are long and the downs are fast.

The Cogmans 34km
Designed for the trail runner looking for a decent day out. This route takes you up three ascents; Aasvoëlkrans, Cogmans and Bloupunt. With over 2000m of climbing it is a tough technical route. Expect beautiful valleys in the Donkerkloof section and jaw-dropping views at the top of Bloupunt Peak.

Designed for the expert runner with enough mileage on the legs willing to tak eon this beast. Montagu boatsts gnarly trails and you will be equally mind-blown by the beauty and physically blown by the steep climbs. “Its only 16km further” than our 34km - With the beautiful Nature garden trails, Badshoogte trails and a loopity loop through the majestic single track section - this new addition to our distances will have you frothing!
